Ship for World Youth Committee - Oman
The Ministerial Decree No. (163/2019) and (179/2021) officially declared the Ship for World Youth Committee – Oman. The mission and the activities of the committee were determined as the following:
- The committee is responsible for organizing Oman’s participation in the Ship for World Youth in all respects.
- Participate in the implementation and organization of the activities of the Ministry of Culture, Sport, and Youth to benefit from the Alumni of Ship for World Youth program.

Before the decree of declaration, the committee was known as The Ship for World Youth Alumni Associations – Oman, which was founded in 1997 by former Omani participants of the program. It sought before the official declaration, through its members, to organize and participate in youth gatherings and voluntary activities that serve the community. Some of these voluntary activities were blood donation, collecting donations for charities, supporting families in need, participating in organizing youth activities in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, as well as maintaining communication with the Ship for World Youth Alumni Associations from all around the world. That helps the continuity of the program’s spirit and allows former participants to exchange experiences and cooperation in various fields through these alumni association, and maintain the Omani youth presence at the global level. Moreover, the Ship for World Youth Committee – Oman had a fundamental role in selecting and preparing the members of the Omani participating delegations in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth.
